The new combined cycle plant in Flensburg, Germany

Last year 2020, FEST Engineering Ltd. Czech Republic branch provided an engineering for a casing and pressure parts of the steam gas boiler 13. The Stadtwerke Flensburg decided to modernize the heating plant, and we took part in this modernisation together with our partner. The final documentation consisted of stress and static calculations, manufacture and assembling documentation for practically the entire boiler. The first parts are shipped from the Meraan factory.

The "Boiler 13" plant is scheduled to go into operation in 2022 and replace two coal boilers in the city of Flensburg early.
With a district heating output of 70 megawatts, "Boiler 13" will achieve an efficiency of over 90 percent through the joint production of electricity and district heating.

Scope of delivery
We are responsible for all channels of the boiler system in two phases of the project:
